On Saturday, April 26, 2008, cohousing and park neighbors gathered to dedicate Roberta Wilson's park bench and to afterwards plant nearly 100 new plants in the park.

2nd Annual Ericksen Park Picnic

On October 8, 2007, the 2nd Annual Ericksen Picnic was held. Musicians included Sam Weinstock, Nathaniel Buechler, Jeff Moore, and Mike Sciacca. Thanks to Norman Johnson for providing the sound system.

Gazebo Construction

After repeated requests to have the City repair the vandalized gazebo at Ericksen Park, the neighbors decided to reconstruct it.

Monday Picnics at Ericksen Park

Every Monday at 7 PM, neighbors gather in Ericksen Park to share good food, good conversation, and soon good music. Ericksen Park is located at the intersections of Ericksen/Wallace/Hildebrand. It serves the neighborhoods of Co-Housing, Blue Heron, Island Homestead Apartments, Meridian Condos, Madison Avenue Condos, and many other nearby residences.

Amanda, Where are You?

Debbi Lester the Social Pirate who wishes to protect the Ericksen Park challenged Amanda the Unknown who wishes to put a road through the park to a pie duel. Amanda had the choice of pie: coconut cream, key lime pie, or chocolate pie. Amanda & Debbi had the choice of either throwing the pie at each other or eating the pie. Amanda did not show. So pie was handed out to on-lookers and park users.
